Record Attendance Reported at the 8th Annual InfoExpo Hosted by ASA Tire Systems

Nashua NH (September 22, 2005) - ASA Tire Systems, the leading software developer for the tire industry, hosted their 8th annual Client Conference in Tucson, Arizona with record attendance this week.  Nearly 600 independent tire dealer locations from the
United States and
Canada were represented.  They came together to share ideas, learn new technology, and have fun at the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort and Spa.

ASA Tire Systems organized a first class event to welcome new clients to the family, celebrate its newest members: the TireMaster client base, and to highlight new product innovations.  The conference officially kicked off on Sunday morning with an exciting General Session.  From Top 100 Dealers to Single Store owners, independent tire dealers of every kind have joined ASA over the years, and the difference between each product and customer need was the hub of the morning meeting.  Customers and employees alike left the General Session with a new understanding of ASA’s commitment to the tire industry.  The annual ASA Client Conference, InfoExpo, is a one of a kind opportunity for independent tire dealers.  There they are able to network with an exclusive group of tire dealers who are using the same product and share ideas, tips, and tricks to help colleagues get the most out of their technology investment.  They learn from each other and from the experts at ASA how to maximize their product to increase profitability and better their business.

Whitney Thomas of Foree Tire in Denver,
CO said, “This was the best conference I’ve attended so far, and I’ve been to many.  I was so glad that the ASA programming staff was there; to meet the people who write the programs was very important. I arrived with questions, and they already had the answers for me.  The user group meetings were very helpful and the legislative information session with TIA topped off a great week.”

ASA’s InfoExpo is serious about educating tire dealers about their products, providing a unique networking opportunity, and showcasing what is “up and coming” with ASA.  The week included educational sessions, intensive user groups, training classes, and a hands-on Name
Solution Type
Center.  There attendees had the chance to see and try new products and participate in live demonstrations of the newest evolutions of TreadX, ASA’s revolutionary graphical software solution.  Innovations with TreadX this year include a new partnership and interface to Mitchell1 and a new add-on module, TireBrands.  With the new Mitchell1 interface, customers using ASA’s TreadX Software can instantly enter the Mitchell1 OnDemand5 Estimator and Repair software, quickly get parts and labor information, and with one click bring the data directly back into TreadX for quoting.  TireBrands provides instant access from inventory to tire images, features and benefits, tire lines and specs to TreadX users.  TireBrands saves time, builds credibility, and provides information to help sell more.  In addition, the Name
Solution Type
Center allowed customers to try the ASA Mobility Suite of products, a new handheld mobile software suite of efficient wireless systems for inventory and other business operations.  Other new product releases include version two of Analytix, ASA’s Business Intelligence software; the introduction of ASA’s wireless showrooms; ASA Client Website Development services; and the latest in laser form printing technology with Intellipress.

For Jim Bernardini, Senior Vice President of Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers in
High Ridge,
MO, ASA’s InfoExpo meets two great needs.  “I am able to network with other tire dealers who are using the same product I use at Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers; I can see what they are doing with the product at their store and learn from them ways to maximize my technology investment.  In addition, I get a great sneak peek at the innovations ASA has for future products.  With this insider knowledge I am able prepare my business’ infrastructure to support the newest technology ASA is making available to the tire industry.  By attending InfoExpo, I stay one step ahead of the game!”

Dr. Roy Littlefield, Executive Vice President of the Tire Industry Association (TIA) and Becky MacDicken, Director of Government Affairs for TIA spoke to the group in a session that educated ASA customers on TIA’s efforts with legislation for healthcare, estate tax, FET, the Right to Repair Act, TPMS, the environmental impact of lead wheel weights, legal reform and more.  This informative session included information on what is happening today governmentally, the TIRES promotional campaign, and the effect each will have on independent tire dealers.  Attending the conference to meet and greet ASA customers were ASA Business Partners: Bridgestone/Firestone, Bandag, Inc., Clearview Financial, Datamart, Okidata, Open Road Technologies, Pearl Communications, Progress Software, Sonicwall, and TopDog Solutions.

Customers and employees also participated in ASA’s annual golf tournament “The Client Cup”, held at the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort, home to PGA Tour events, and selected as one of Golf Digest's "75 Best Golf Resorts in North America".  Many joined an Amazing Race Style Jeep Rally in downtown Tucson; and an exciting Monday Night Football Party and Texas Hold’em Tournament.  Customers also attended “Dinner under the Stars” at the
Name Arizona-Sonora Type
Desert Type
Museum where astronomers guided guests through the constellations and ASA’s “constellation of customers” became a closer community.

No other event in the tire industry offers independent tire dealers this intensive opportunity to meet and collaborate with colleagues, manufacturers, and industry leaders while receiving education and training, and offering their input on future product innovations.  At InfoExpo, ASA Tire Systems continues to cement its customer commitment by involving all ASA customers in the evolution of their product and training them to use the ASA tools to increase profitability and expand their business.  Growing every year, ASA’s annual InfoExpo Client Conference continues to facilitate value, education, commitment, and communication between ASA and the tire industry.
