ASA's $1M Bailout Grant Program Nears Completion

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 3, 2009) - ASA Tire Systems announced today that the $1M Tire Dealer Bailout Program is nearing completion. Applications will be accepted through 12/31/2009, and ASA is proud to report that over $1M has already been awarded.

Nationwide, nearly 400 independent tire dealerships have submitted grant requests and many have taken advantage of them. Several are still being considered for funding. Although some applications are still being processed, more than 100% of the fund has been awarded. The program does expire on 12/31/2009 and ASA will continue to accept applications until that date. Any application received before the deadline is eligible for funding and will be included in the review process. Dealers who are interested in applying for funding still have time, and are encouraged to visit the company's website and fill out an application before the end of the year. The monies are in the form of a grant, and do not have to be paid back to the company. Tire dealerships of any size who are interested in taking advantage of the offer to improve their technology infrastructure are eligible.

Wayne Croswell, president of ASA Tire Systems, says, "Seeing this program near its end is bittersweet. We are proud of this endeavor, and pleased that our competitors tried to follow suit with similar programs. It is rewarding to see that ASA Tire has led the charge and remained committed to follow through completely with this offering of economic support. To date, we have awarded over $1M, which is more than our original offering, and will continue to accept applications through 12/31/2009 as promised. I am thrilled that we can continue to support the independent dealers during these economic hard times and look forward to continuing this effort through the end of the year. Many dealers took advantage of this program to replace their outdated infrastructures and improve their technology capabilities. I am proud that we were able to give back to the industry during such difficult financial times."

Dealers can apply for the remaining funds via the ASA Tire Systems website https://www.asatire.com/bailout by filling out a form, or by contacting an ASA representative.
