FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Sky Souza ASA Tire Systems Staffing Changes in Sales and R&DNASHUA, NH (February 5, 2009) — It was announced by ASA Tire Systems that Dean Rascoe has been promoted to Director of Sales, and Chris Hawkins has been brought on as Director of Research and Development. Mr. Rascoe has 14 years experience with ASA and has worked his way from Account Manager, to Territory Manager, to Sales Manager throughout the years. In previous roles, Rascoe has been responsible for growing the business from both an inside and outside sales perspective, and maintaining customer service levels both directly with ASA clients and also as the manager of ASA's account management team. In his new position, Rascoe will be overseeing the account management team to ensure ASA continues to provide the highest level of customer service to existing clients while working with their new sales team and marketing organization to grow the business overall. Rascoe previously sat on the board of directors for the Florida Automotive Trade Association, is a Graduate of the U Mass School of Management with a Marketing degree, and is currently completing his MBA. Additionally, he is an avid runner who recently completed the Hartford Marathon with his wife, Melissa. According to Rascoe, "My goals for the next six months are to enable ASA to continue growing despite the current economic conditions, and more importantly to ensure our customers are using technology to enable them to be profitable as well since our growth and success is a direct result of this." Mr. Hawkins has been in the computer industry since 1984 working as a Programmer, Analyst, Project Manager and Architect. He has worked with Progress Software's products since 1998, and has experience in Manufacturing, Warehousing, Distribution and Retail systems. Hawkins worked with Australia Post to develop a Progress based POS system used in Post Offices around Australia. Since moving to the US, he has done consulting programming for HON Furniture, REI (Recreational Equipment Inc), QAD (a Progress ERP ISV) and ASA Tire Systems. From 1998 to 2000 Hawkins worked for Progress Software as a Senior Consultant and later Project Manager where he was introduced to ASA Tire Systems. Hawkins worked directly with ASA to develop ASA's eTireLink product and in the development of what is now TreadX. In his new role as Director of Research and Development, he is now responsible for the development and staff for the TreadX and eTireLink products. According to Hawkins, "My primary goal is to continue the development efforts of making TreadX the best enterprise product for the market. I also want to enhance our eCommerce (eTireLink) products for the benefit of the ASA client base and for new tire dealers coming to join the ASA family." About ASA Tire Systems # # #
