From 1998 to 2000 Hawkins worked for Progress Software as a Senior Consultant and later Project Manager where he was introduced to ASA Tire Systems. In his new role as Director of Research and Development, he is now responsible for the development and staff for the TreadX and eTireLink products.
According to Hawkins, "My primary goal is to continue the development efforts of making TreadX the best enterprise product for the market. I also want to enhance our eCommerce (eTireLink) products for the benefit of the ASA client base and for new tire dealers coming to join the ASA family."
